PAL 1.2 - For individuals with extremely low physical activity, spending most of their time in stillness, bedridden patients, and individuals with obesity (BMI > 30), such as elderly individuals with limited mobility.
PAL 1.3 - For individuals with very low physical activity, who only perform basic daily tasks, move around the house, and occasionally go for short walks.
PAL 1.4 - For individuals with low physical activity, who spend most of the day sitting, walk occasionally (about 3 hours per week), or engage in low-intensity sports activities, such as students commuting to university by public transportation and not exercising.
PAL 1.5 - For individuals with low to moderate physical activity, who have a sedentary lifestyle but regularly perform light household tasks, short walks, or stretching exercises.
PAL 1.6 - For individuals with moderate physical activity, such as those with jobs involving movement or sedentary work, who dedicate several hours per week to exercise, e.g., postal workers, office workers attending intense group fitness classes 3 times a week, or those walking their dogs every day.
PAL 1.7 - For individuals with moderately high physical activity, who work in a standing position, walk most of the day, and regularly engage in sports, e.g., retail workers, waiters.
PAL 1.8 - For individuals with high physical activity, who work physically or dedicate an average of 1-2 hours per day to high-intensity sports, such as volleyball, soccer, continuous swimming, or intense Zumba classes.
PAL 1.9 - For individuals with very high physical activity, who spend most of their day doing heavy physical labor or training intensely, e.g., construction workers or endurance athletes.
PAL 2.0 - For individuals with extremely high physical activity, either at work or outside of it. This primarily refers to athletes who train intensively every day (even twice a day), as well as miners and steelworkers.
PAL 2.4 - For individuals with extremely high physical activity, often exceeding 4-5 hours per day of intense exercise or physical labor, e.g., professional athletes preparing for competitions, high-altitude climbers, or sawmill workers.
