Preparation steps
Initial step
Finely grate the red cabbage, put it in a pot, fill it with water until the red cabbage is covered and bring to the boil.
Cook the red cabbage for about 50 minutes.
If you are using frozen red cabbage, cook it for about 30 minutes.
Step 1
Add the following ingredients to the red cabbage: bay leaves, cinnamon, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Cut the orange in half, squeeze out the juice and add to the red cabbage.
Let everything simmer gently for about 15 minutes.
